Standing Theory @ SS2, Petaling Jaya

Hello lovelies! On this late afternoon, I've decided to blog about my lil food adventure with my cousins right after our mani and pedi session and my little cousin (who's not little anyone, she's Form 5 btw) suggested to visit a cafe that she always wanted to try while we were around the SS2 area.
Visited this cafe under a scorching weather and we decided to dine in.

Surroundings were peaceful & quiet and it would be great place to chill out with my favourite novel.

My cousin started to call these cafes as hipster cafes as there's many independent cafe started to grow around the KL and PJ areas. Despite their unique themed with creative and passion.

Don't be surprise because their menus on the list is pretty limited, but that's what stands out about this cafe. They wanted you to try out their special meals and coffees. I decided to try white flat coffee, not because of my love with coffee - it's because of the art foam of coffee, ironically. I'm not a coffee expert but it's creamy and good.
Flat White | RM10

Emily was just being sassy here with her icy mocha chocolate, haha!

We trios are pretty hungry and seeking for nom noms and we decided to bring up 3 yummy dishes. Well, basically 3 out of 4 dishes from the menu!
Chili Corn Carne |  RM17
My first impression once it's served, "Muffin with chilli sauce? Really?" That's certainly something different from what I'm expecting, however once I tried it, it taste really good oddly. It's a bowl of hearty and soul food or maybe a comfort food that is blended with different spices and herbs that has been stewed with chicken. Savory and delicious.

VD Roll | RM13
Vietnamese style sandwich wrapped with beautiful homemade marinated pork filled with veggies and sprinkles of peanuts and I believe the baguette is toasted lightly before serving. It's so delicious that I want for more! :D

I thought I've the best of both meal but wait there's another one.

This. Glorious.
Sometimes best meal always comes last.
BBC Waffles | RM 13
You can't go wrong with waffles and crispy bacon right? It's perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, so good! Combination with bacon & Fatbaby ice-cream is simply genius! Now I know why this is Standing Theory's famous dish.

That sums up my perfect late afternoon meal.

Before I left my cousin spotted a doggie snoozing off in a cool floor during a hot afternoon, so cute!
