Fashionably KL pop-up stores X Parkamaya is back!

Hello lovelies! Once again, Fashionably KL pop-up stores in collaboration with Parkamaya are back in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014 (KLFW 2014), showcased at Parkamaya at Fahrenheit 88. Since KLFW has kick start their fashion shows in Pavilion,the pop-up featuring 11 up-and-coming Malaysian designers selected to be part of the local retail platform behind KLFW, from 18th June till 29 June 2014
These budding designers will had a chance to showcase their skills not just as a designer, but as a business minded retailer who can market merchandise that has design value whilst being sell-able and priced appropriately for the market. 

#1: Simply K by Kamae Lee 
Kamae Lee, founded Simply K in January 2012 designs her products range of hairbands and various hair accessories that are decorated with special crystals using high quality material such as imported grosgrain ribbons, Italian cotton and fresh water pearls to create elegant hairbands and accessories.

#2: Rplus + Freedom by Peter Lim
Peter Lim collaborated with several designer brands such as Radioactive, F.M.S Freedom, Rplus and Freedom by Eric Choong that features bold and attractive prints for men and women. 

#3: M-maximunity by Tallen Thong 
KL born-designer who loves street wear fashion designs, new upgraded version of street wear which features mono based design with unique silhouette, cutting and material that caters for unisex. 

#4: Eight by Mem-Ardin WK 
Eight was founded by Mem-Ardin WK and her husband where they caters modern fashion for women. Not only they sells trendy clothes but also hand-crafted jewelries. 

#5: Jimmy Lim by Jimmy Lim 
Award winning fashion designer, Jimmy Lim is known as one of the Malaysia's and New Zealand's star designer, present his latest Autumn/ Winter 2014/15 showcase collection,"EXPOSED" was inspired by Japanese artist, Shizuka Kudo's songs. 

#6: Comoddity by Vincent Siow 
Comoddity is a menswear brand that offers quality workmanship with a unique twist to wardrobe staples for stylish urban male with their latest summer 2014 collection features fields of colour to represent summer from the inspiration of abstract expressionist that interplays contrasting colours in the form of panelling and blocking

#7: CHIYO By Isabel Lim
CHIYO derives from the designer chinese name 'Chi Yoi' as most of her collection were heavily influenced by Japanese fashion such as Harujuku with expressive bold prints from shoes to clothing. Most of her collection are being handcrafted,hand-assembled to hand printed. Look at those eye and egg hair clips! 

#8: RARE Distro KL By Suhaimi Abdullah 
Homegown founded in Sept 2010, where they created their own street wear brand where they hand-picked the best and highest material quality such as snapbacks and raw denims. They also have their brands such as Rare Clothing and RDKL. 

#9: MILKTEE By Huang 
Milktee founded in 2010, designed clothing with simplicity and elegance in mind & represents minimalist and classic styles that are chic and exudes boldness. 

#10: Andy Brandy by Andy Yap
Andy Yap, Winner of MODA Emerging Designer award from Stylo Mercedes Benz in 2009 has launched Andy Brandy's pre-fall 2014 collection which revolves around ballerinas and modernism and designed with a dark-twist, filled with romantic 15th century sillouettes, modernized to suit the Andy Brandy contemporary women. 

#11: Tempatan by Joshua Fitton
British born Malaysian founded Tempatan clothing after his return from the UK in 2013. With direct translation means local where the collection were street wear and casual clothing that were inspired by local craft and culture through the use of traditional materials such as batik. 

Malaysia's local designers are now given an opportunity to showcase their suitability to the market and success. So come and support and check out the designers, their labels and latest Ready-To-Wear collections a the Fashionably KL pop-up store X Parkamaya @ Parkamaya, Fahrenheit88 from 18 - 29 June 2014

There were also be a fashion walk in fahrenheit88 by Andrewsmodels, organizers of KLFW on Saturday 28th June featuring designer collections, leading you to the Fashionably KL pop-up stores X Parkamaya where models will mingle around with the guests of Parkamaya. 

Their pop-up store only showcase within 11 days, so come and stop by and check out to support 11 local designers! KL Pop-Up store awaits you at Parkamaya, 3rd Floor, fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur!

  2. Pop-up stores are very famous in the West and I always able to find some good stuff from it. Glad that the pop-up store culture is back in KL . =)
