TWG Tea Salon & Boutique @ Pavilion, KL

Hello lovelies! Before Christmas week, I met my girls to have a teatime session at TWG which I've been longing to visit and try their teas and scones which I heard their scones are delicious! :D

I find pretty weird that TWG was located in the middle of luxury brand stores because as a cafe isn't should be more spacious because I think the place itself is quite small and packed in my opinion. Anyways, let's proceed to my nom experience!

During Christmas season, TWG served festive menus with full course meal which I didn't ordered and we decided to order their teatime sets and we finally chose Fortune set which serves bigger portion which includes TWG Tea from tea list (any of them, there's like hundreds of choices and we chose something floral-y tea), a choice of toasted sandwich, a choice of 2 fresh scones or muffins with tea jelly and whipped cream or 1 pastry from trolley and finally, 3 macaroons of your choice. Sounds a lot, eh?

Finally our 3 tier Fortune set (RM55) has finally arrived, the presentation is so beautiful and nicely placed. :D

Let's start with the bottom dish, looks appetizing from the picture and also, in reality of course! It's TWG Tea Croque Imperial which has generous amount of smoked salmon with Gruyère cheese served with fresh salad with house vinaigrette dressing. The sandwich was absolute delicious that is served warm and the salmon was divine as a salmon lover like me! The salad with house vinaigrette is the perfect combination with the sandwich.

Scones. Pretty self explanatory. However, this scones has raisins which tasted sweet itself. It is served freshly baked too.

TWG has their specialty of serving clotted creams and tea jelly that is infused with their signature black tea with fruits and flowers and honestly, TWG has literally spoiled me. Because the scones spread with cream and jelly is total heaven. Yes, best scones I ever eaten since Cameron Highlands scones. Serious orgasm on my mouth.

Hi TWG, can I have bigger scones?? *smirks*

Please look at it and appreciate how awesome this freshly baked that is whipped with jelly and cream.

Everyone was talking about TWG macaroons and we decided to try some their macaroons which we can have 3 choice of them. In their menu, they have a total of 8 flavours. Each costs RM5.
Lemon Bush Tea
Bain de Rose Tea
Grand Wedding Tea, Passion Fruit & Coconut
Moroccan Mint Tea
Napolean Tea & Caramel
Camelot Tea & Praline
1837 Black Tea & Blackcurrant
Earl Grey & Chocolate

Finally, we chose Bain de Rose Tea, Earl Grey & Chocolate and 1837 Black Tea & Blackcurrant. My absolute favourite is Bain de Rose Tea, I love the rosy scent.

Since tea set doesn't fill our tummy, we decided to order 2 ala carte dishes and one of them was Smoked Norwegian Salmon served with mascarpone cream cheese.

ZOMG. They gave a generous amount of fresh salmon slices that topped salmon roe sprinkled with some chives and also 2 slices of lemon for more flavorful experience.

Of course, accompanied with warm toasted brioche.

Not to forget, mascarpone cream cheese sprinkled with Gyokuro Samurai Tea. Doesn't TWG always infused their dishes with teas? Now all I've to do is to combined these 3 elements and it taste soooo exquisite and savory.

There comes Wagyu Beef Burger (RM43) which has absolute appetizing presentation that I can't wait to dive in! It is served with french fries and a small bowl of ketchup and also, fresh salad with house vinaigrette.

The beef was so succulent and savory which gives me a gastronomic experience of devouring this amazing burger. Gosh, I can't explain enough how amazing this dish is haha! The fries was just moderate for me.

Some shots before munching those yummy dishes!
Me & Vivien (Thanks for the treat :P)
 Carolyn and Your Truly!
(Why do I look like meh, maybe I'm just hungry hahaha!)

After we ate our dishes, and since we have some spaces to fill our stomach and again, we decided to order TWG Eggs Benedict (RM28.50) and up to our expectations, the presentation was beautifully done with nice poached eggs and drizzled with hollandaise sauce and also, with smoked salmon and English muffins. Unfortunately, this dish was kinda turn off because apparently, their poached eggs turns out to be full-cooked eggs. >< WHY. Another dissatisfaction was the their fresh salad that is drizzled with too much house vinaigrette which makes the poached eggs and salad turns to be sour. As well as the English muffins which I think the muffins was soaked by the dressing. We kinda regret to order that last dish.

Here's some shots that I took when I'm TWG.
 TWG Christmas Tea Sets

Their macaroon was beautifully done with the perfect crust that is sandwiched together with the creme.
Before we head out, Vivien brought some macaroons to enjoy at home. Sadly, they don't provide box with these 6 macaroons :(

    1. the good is great except that eggs benedict >.> as for the price terms, I think is reasonable price for this this kind of food because of the brand itself as a posh tea cafe :)
