Broccoli Soup :D

I would like to give a big thank youuuuuu to my lovely babe, Mandy Lau.
Of giving me, broccoli recipe :)
I'm sooo gonna hug her tomorrow!

Actually i was googgling through the web and something acrossed my mind.
Why don't I just ask Mandy since she's from culinary arts? :)
So i did.
Sorry i did that the REAL picture of my cooking.
Instead of putting someone's one :)
But it's still nice, right?
Tee-hee.

Nah, here it goes.
Try it, and you won't regret. :DD
Mine? Yeah,it's gooooood, just a little salty :)



Ingredients

1 cup broccolli, chopped

1/2 cup onion, chopped

1 teaspoon wheat germ

1 tablespoon cheese

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon oil

salt and pepper to taste

Method

1.Heat the oil, add the onion pieces and sauté till the pieces are translucent.

2.Add the chopped broccoli and 1½ cups of water and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Cool.

3.Purée in a liquidiser and transfer back into a pan.

4.Add the milk, wheat germ and cheese and bring to a boil.

5.Add salt and pepper and serve hot.

Tips:
Wheat germ is the outer covering of the wheat grain and is extremely rich in fibre.
Readymade wheat germ is available in packets at most health food stores.
If you cannot find wheat germ, this soup will taste just as good without it.


*i didn't put that wheat germ, no one knows wth is that when i ask the grocerer*

    BTW, where to get 1 tablespoon of cheese? If skipped that too will be okay right?
